It's been a night, that's for sure!

About a week ago, Daddie's ex-wife called to tell me she thought my dog was pregnant. (I can't have pets where I live, other than my fish Finn Hudson, so she stays at her house with my brother and sister's dog.) One vet visit and $200 later, we find out that she is, in fact, pregnant. WITH AT LEAST FIVE PUPPIES!

Hello, babies!

Now, I don't know how anyone could look at her and NOT think she's pregnant, but whatever. Dogs are pregnant for about 65 days. That picture was taken a week and two days ago. Guess who's in the process of having their puppies?

Having puppies is hard, people!

That would be Tallulah! So far we're at two puppies. Which, holy crap! The sounds! Whoa, doggie.

Lulu's Birthing Suite

This is what the kitchen looks like at the moment. She's an outside dog, but there was NO WAY I was going to let my baby deliver outside if it was dark.

The big zebra printed bump in the background is Sissy. She refuses to miss anything so she has a pillow and blanket on the floor sleeping between births. She had me rolling when Lulu was first going into labor. "C'mon, Lulu! It's so easy a cave dog can do it! PUSH!"

I decided to tie a colored string around thier necks and that's what we'd call them. I wanted to be able to tell them apart, but didn't want to have to name them. I already know I'm going to be attached when we have to get rid of them. Naming them would just be too hard.

It's nice and quiet at the moment, but I would like those other puppies to get her soon, please! I have a bed to sleep in and a Flickr to update!

I have an excuse to post a picture!

Woohoo! Momma tagged me so here goes.

The rules...Go in your pictures folder & get the 10th picture from the first folder, give the story behind it and then tag 5 people to play along. Here’s my photo:

Nana and I went to the Botanical Gardens today. It was amazing. Spring is officially my favorite season because of all the colors and I've discovered that I love taking pictures of flowers.

I think this one is my favorite of today, if not ever. I love the flowers. I love the pink. I just love this picture!

I post pictures because I have nothing to write about.

Well, I do. Like my timing belt deciding it hates me and killing my car. 70 miles from home. An hour before sunset. That was fun, let me tell you! Riding the ferry back and forth for three hours waiting for Uncle Bubba and Nana to come get me and my friend.

I swear it was Bring All the Mexicans to Galveston Day. Now, I don't have anything against Mexicans. Just don't stare at me with a creepy smile on your face, speaking Spanish. THAT'S when I have a problem. And that's what every one of them did, too. Every. Single. One. I couldn't wait to get home and take a shower.

That night sucked. In case you ever wanted to lug around a laptop case, a camera case, a purse and school books for three hours in the cold without a jacket, DON'T! It makes you tired and cranky and wishing you had grabbed one of those unopened bottles of liquor out of your trunk.

Anyhow. I digress. Pictures:

(More here, of course!)
